How many minutes does it take your computer to transfer your camera's flash memory card?

And what size and X-speed is it?





My 2GB 60X SD memory card took about 30 minutes to upload to my computer. It was fully loaded.

That depends upon two things .. how large the card is and which USB connection you are using. Currently there are two versions 1.1 and 2.0. The 2.0 is faster than the first generation "firewire". Both your cameras and computers ports can slow down file transfers. Most pros use USB 2.0 card readers to enhance file transfers.





The x-speed only operates during the time the camera is writing to the card.





I can copy my files from a full 4GB card via a card reader in about 10 minutes or less..
