How do I erase all pictures from my Compact Flash card?

My digital camera is a Canon Power Shot A95. I only receive the option erase and I have delete each one separately. Very timeconsuming. I don't have the erase all function?

How do I erase all pictures from my Compact Flash card?
You can format the memory card and that erases all the pictures on the card and lets u then start over.
Reply:TomTom is correct. You can erase all images at once while you are in the review/playback mode.

Go into the MENU and scroll down till you get to 'Erase All'.

But, also don't forget to regularly format your card from time to time.
Reply:yes the camera has erase all

it is in the review mode menu

or you can format the card

in the tools menu
Reply:Do not erase. You may loose more images because the deleting of imaged can cause the image index to become corrupted and thus loose track of other images still on the card.

To avoid this problem, use your menu and find where you can FORMAT the card ... not delete the images.

Formatting the card refreshes the file index and keeps the card in good condition for many years.
