What are flash cards and why they are used?

Since this is a camera Q%26amp;A venue, I will assume you are asking about flash memory cards.

There a couple of types ... one type comes in a format that will fit in your camera (most common are the CF and SD cards ... xD cards are used by only two camera companies and Memory Sticks only by Sony)

There are also flash memory cards that plug into your computers USB port and can be used to transfer files from one computer to another. They are flash drives and have many different names depending upon the brand.

What are flash cards and why they are used?
they are memory cards that don't have moving parts.

let's say your going on a trip, your camera may only have a little bit of memory but you want to take a lot of pictures, you get a flash card so you have memory for all the pictures
Reply:They are cards that have like addition, subtraction, multiplycation, and division and are used to help kids study.
