Can all Digital cameras use X133 speed Compact Flash?

I have a Canon A85 and Powershot G3 cameras (both a few years old now) and I want to buy a new Compact Flash card for them. The new cards all have X133 which I believe is their transfer speed. Will they work with my older cameras ?

Any camera that uses CF memory can use the X133 cards, but not all of them can use the speed.

" If you're shooting with a compact digital camera that makes you wait while images are written to the card then speed ratings matter. On SLRs like the D200, 20D and D70 it doesn't matter much, since these cameras buffer most of the images and write them to the card without slowing you down."

Reply:The G3 can use X133 because I physically tried it and also because Sandisk says it's compatible with the model. Here's a link below, sorry I don't have the A85 and it's not on the chart.

It works but you won't gain any of the advantages this newer type of card features.
Reply:check on canonusa.com to be sure
