Too old for flash cards?

Could anyone be too old for flash cards?

I had been using flash cards as my review for months now and they are helping me a lot. But I felt like I should not rely myself too much on these, as I don't know.. I felt like it's not too professional, especially in college?

And what if I get used to it that even at my last year of college, I am still using flashcards???

I need to make myself comfortable and learning through just books.. I need to make my mind sharper.

What are your comments about it? Should I throw out the flashcards??

I am 2nd year (physical therapy course) by the way and the flash cards I used are index cards (I cut them into mini pieces) and they serve as my review, for easier and faster memorization.

Too old for flash cards?
I used them too...mostly for stuff that required the direct memorization...origins, insertions, actions and innervations, etc....and I wasn't the only one.

Where you need to make the transition is with things the require analysis. Therefore, you have change your learning methods from "memorization" to understanding concepts at their basis.

Other than that, nothing wrong with flashcards.

Good luck

If flashcards work for you, that's the important thing. They're a great tool.
Reply:if it works for you, there's no reason to change anything. lots of my friends in college use flash cards, there's nothing wrong with it if it gets the job done
