i have a windows vista os. i tried to use a card reader to read my compact flash card but it would not even detect it. is the compact flash card really not compatible with vista? the brand that i bought is Transcend.

CF cards are compatible with Vista. You may have a card reader that doesn't have a diver for Vista though.
Go to Best Buy or the like and buy one that has a "Certified for Vista" logo on it. Or, just buy any old one and take it back if it doesn't work.
Reply:might be there is some problem with ur flash card like it might have got corrupt or something..but the flash cards work perfectly fine with vista,,i m using a card reader...latest transent products are certified for vista
